to me Ms. Tower, Thank you for contacting the Michigan Department of State Police. Ive read through your letter and, though it may seem frustrating to you, it does appear that law enforcement, the prosecutor and the courts were involved in this entire matter. It also appears the person who would have been the suspect is now deceased. Unfortunately I dont see anything that would lead to new criminal charges. However if you feel differently, you could make an appointment with the local prosecuting attorneys office and discuss your facts with them. They would have knowledge of what transpired earlier concerning this situation. Or you could hire an attorney and explore a civil remedy.
