to my foreign friends. If you are not up to date on What has been going on in Bangkok . This is just a glimpse from my own experience. First, WE Thai especially those who are on the streets protesting against this government are lovers of Democracy . But we do not believe in a government who came into power by the democratic system then ,abuse their power that was given to them by the people and show absolutely no responsibility what so ever. With the election set on February 2nd this government will again use the system to justify their existence. Why do I say this because buying vote had become a tradition in Thailand. And that is exactly how they came into power in the first place. So inorder to stop this vicious cycle we need to pause and look at the law an determine what works what does not . Then set up a guideline and tweak some law especially corruption related law and due punishments required. Therefore,We simply ask for time to clean up and then election will naturally happen. If you are wondering Who are these people on the streets of Bangkok.? Just an example of who we are. The Pathum Wan Intersection stage is sponsor by the two most respected university in Thailand they are Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University and most schools around the area are supporting this action. Every occupied site have field hospital that are set-up by leading teaching hospital of this country such as Mahidol University .Where they give out free medical care. PLease note that, The Thai public health care personal are the first to come out and supports this Uprising. Is this interesting? Why are the health care personal out on the streets just something to think about ? People from all walks of life are on the streets not just the middle class, not just people from the south, not just the 30 something but all. If you are wondering when will this end, well ,we do not know.! but untill this government show responsibility and accountability then this will go on. If you say this is unheard off. Their is all ways a first time for every thing.
