Our organization at the University of the Philippines is organizing an event entitled National Geology Congress which will run from Oct 20 to Oct 25, 2014. Activities include GeoQuiz for students and training and camp for teachers. This is a very good opportunity for our scouts and scouters to know more about our environment, specially the geological concepts behind it. A quick check on merit badge requirements would show that this activity may help our scouts in furthering more their knowledge gained from merit badges like ecology, environment, and scholarship.
