today i am reminded why i have not been sticking my neck out for social justice as i used to do : in two years of searching, no attorney has been willing to step up to file civil rights violation charges in federal court on behalf of me and my daughter . she was brutalized by opd on 25 oct 11 ... the filing end date is near, and yet another supposed civil rights attorney has waited til the last minute to refuse to take the case, though she had plenty of information to make a decision two months ago ... she also refuses to interact at all, having her intern inform me many days after a promised phone call ... and theyre failing/refusing to inform me the reason for choosing to not take the case i find it insulting and rude that rachel lederman chose to represent only a dozen of hundreds of us abused by police on 25 oct . every one of us shouldve been represented in that class action ... any attorney out there want to help us file in time? that would be right away . ive been searching for two years, while also continuing to publish and empower others to publish ... while supporting two young women and a three year old on disability income ... while dealing with my own ongoing difficult health concerns during this two years, ive been barely managing my daughters rather extreme case of ptsd, which erupted out of the beating and illegal incarceration delivered by opd . during that time, alameda county took a year to correct an error which prevented my daughter from receiving medical care and counseling to address her issues now ... more in debt than ever and worn out, im reminded how ridiculous it seems that our alphabet soup government agencies waste their time in administering cointelpro tactics : all they really need to do is continue their abuses, piling up the number of victims, and watch as we, one by one, become disgusted with the lack of support from the legal community it becomes more and more risky to participate, not only because of the likelihood of abuse by police, but the certainty of being left out in the cold by comrades and social justice attorneys im pissed . can you tell? should we have to walk into federal court to file our grievances without legal representation?
