today is my boys 40th birthday. hard to believe hes now older than me :) hes at 2 soccer games today w/ his boys out in rochester. i retold him the story about the night he was born, it was friday the 13th under a full moon during one of the worst thunder & lightening storms ive ever seen. RT 7 to Bellevue was at a standstill as it was raining so hard. when we got there his mom was immediately admitted to a labor room and while i was still upstairs signing her in she called me about 10 minutes later to tell me we have a son. i was so frazzled i said thats not funny and waited for the rest of her joke but it was no joke we got there just in the nick of time. i dropped the papers i was signing and ran downstairs to where I thought they might be and started knocking on doors until I found where they both were. still the happiest day of my life. when we brought him home WILLARD (the rat movie) was the prime time movie on tv that first night and it didnt help that he had some excess hair on his ears that made him look a little like eddie munster. the final weird thing we experienced was being welcomed by a bat that made its way into the house. took me overnight to capture it. one more incidence and I was going to have an exorcism done. next weekend his cousins, uncles, friends and myself will head out to his cottage on lake waneta for another van bramer boyz lost weekend to celebrate the birthday of the best thing that ever happened to me. thank you lord.
