today is my dads birthday. He would have been 88. Its funny what triggers memories, laughs and tears when thinking of him. Trevor and I went over to Karis today and she had a sweater hanging on her bannister. The pattern is like the one he wore for many years, they were like his old friends and he never wanted to part with one. I could see him sitting in his chair, usually reading, looking up and smiling. God has him now and we have the memories. i also have that sweater in my keepsake trunk, the only thing is it does not reach out and hug me and tell me it loves me. miss you papa.
