today marks the Anniversary of the Doolittle raid. The first American raid on Japan mainland. After the Japan attack on Pearl Harbor. I have the honor of living within a few min. drive where Col. Doolittle trained those brave men here on Eglin field. I have been to the Historic Markers Read all the books but to walk the runway that is marked for the length of the USS Hornets flight deck and feeling the History that surrounds me is well COOL. I thank those Brave men who did something no man had ever done before. A US ARMY AIRCRAFT launches off the deck of US NAVY straight deck aircraft carrier, no steam launch take off just the power of the ship into the wind and some Prayers. Thank you again Men of Thirty Seconds over Tokyo God Bless and Keep you in his arms
