today ...paint is on my mind ....i have painted cars and houses lots both with brush and spray guns ....i have never had such troubles with paint as i am on guitars I do my best ....my guild has been a pain but FINALLY IT IS PAINTED AND SHINY ////////Ready for rubbing compound and some wax.....(i only did the neck and headstock) Brian Jantzi bought a single cutaway from me and its been a long time in construction almost every thing is a new procedure for the single cutaways ......and the finish has been a horror ,,,,i paid to have it cleaned (80.00) then sprayed (120.00) to clear it .....the clear wiped off write off (200.00) ...spay clear again ....nope ....remove it by sanding ....clear with spray bomb...nope remove by sanding FINALLY !!!!!!!! PROPER METAL PRIMER (zinc chromate) the onto light filler coat (filler primer ) then a very antique looking gold hammertone paint and after some wet sanding and another coat ......then clear .....and assembly .....but the gold looks way off the deep end cool looking for some stencils for palm trees
