Gospel .Mathew 23:1-12 REFLECTION. Lord, you do not mince words in denouncing the hypocrisy of the religious leaders of your time. your words are surely aimed at all religious leaders of all time who misuse their authority. you ask us to accept and follow their teaching but not to copy their behavior or lifestyle. Lord, it is hard to see leaders not practicing what they preach. we understand that you are the source of their teaching. so we need to accept it. we should not discard good teaching even when it comes through teachers who are not exemplary. today we want to offer you all the leaders of your church. Guide them from the sin of hypocrisy. let them never be blinded by the lure of wielding power in the exercise of their authority that comes from you. ... , wish you a peaceful day.
