tomorrow, my dad ray francis jackson, will be gone a year. i miss this dynamic man of great character, and he was a character :). he was complicated, great sense of humor yet there was a sense of, i dont know...covering over hurt maybe. he was strong, so very strong physically and mentally,not a man to dicuss feelings but you could see he had alot of them, on the rare occassions that he let them show. he was extremely smart. he graduated college on the deans list at 54 yrs old as an architecht and held licenses as a master carpenter and building inspecter and had only completed the eighth grade before entering college at 50. he was wise. he just had a wisdom about life that was amazing. he had many interests and hobbies that he would carry to the extremes sometimes, which still give us many laughs. he was a devout jehovahs witness which,thankfully,helped him immensely with his anger issues and bad habits. he was a great provider. he was stern, he was playful. he was hard, he was soft. he was wise, he was naive. he was maddening, he was loveable. he was too much to put into words. he was a great man who touched so many lives, who will never and can never be forgotten and he is dearly missed. i am proud of and still admire this man who i was so fortunate to have as my dad and through my tears i can still smile at all the great memories he created for me and all that were fortunate enough to know him. i love you, dad. i miss you.
