tonight an officer asked me why we dont protest black on black crime... i responded that even if such a thing were the case, and its not, we have yet to see have a video of a black person killing another black person go before a grand jury, or even have a suspect name, and see a decision not to indict. as a cop, dont you think you should be better versed the in the logistical difficulties in suspect apprehension in black and brown communities? and dont you think as a public servant you should be able to think through the causal relationship between mistrust of police, the near impossibility of suspect apprehension in cases of crime in our communities, and the corruption and abuse of black bodies by those very people who are supposed to be policing all crime, black on black or otherwise... and why are YOU down here on state street baby-sitting a peaceful protest and telling ME to protest killings on 63rd... arent YOU supposed to be stopping killings on 63rd? thats a question that YOU need to be answering, black on black crime is YOUR job, and thanks for reminding me that you clearly dont give a damn about that either. any combination of audacity and stupidity needs to not have a badge and a gun.
