tonights movie was letters From Iwo Jima directed by Clint Eastwood. Eastwood shows the Japaneses point of view during the battle of Iwo Jima. Hardcore movie to watch as it was a devastating defeat for the Japanese...Eastwood shows that they were people through the letters they wrote home...they were never mailed and found in 2005. They were left on the island with no intent of reinforcements...they were left to fight to the death and this movie explores what that meant to the soldiers...I recommend this film to go along with Eastwoods Flags of Our Fathers
