took my 4 yr old lab to the vet today due to incessant itching, scratching and chewing. Vet is fairly certain she has a good allergy. Took a skin scraping and determined no mange mites, but gave her a shot anyway just in case. She has a skin infection, so got a long course of antibiotics for that, and predisone to stop the itching. In the meantime, I think I am going to go to making homemade food because I cant seem to buy food that they will eat and that is good for them. Evidently, Beneful Healthy Weight Management is NOT the best food for her!!
