#trafficlights #flashingyellow #leftturn The Massachusetts DOT, Highway Division introduced flashing yellow traffic left turn signals. We have one on Winthrop Street at High St by the new Walgreens. A flashing yellow arrow means it is permissible to turn left if it is safe, but the traffic coming from the other direction has a solid green. Basically that means turn left, but yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. Solid yellow means that the light will change to red soon, the same as it always has. Just a reminder, that does not mean speed up.
