tried yesterday to throw together some chords inspired by old actress louise brooks , seems she was near forgotten when monroe harlow hepburn both hepburns and some noted others lake were not which dont know why exactly that was but anyway sat down with guitar and tried to throw together some chords with her in mind and trying to keep from being musically boxed in as one goes from one grouping of chords to another in musical passage if you dont know how to play music then dont know what Im talking about no melody just simple chords and strums gathered that sounded good out of a mel bay book some names of them dont even know how to pronounce their well not so much cowboy chords but more along the lines of jazz chords the good stuff not scrap. Finally came up with a name for it didnt want to call it just lousie so named it lousies delight, sometimes have hard time naming music pieces played easy as possible had in mind a kind of 1920-30s big band effect which dont know if thats what accomplished but sounded alright guess if like that sort of music chords like D-Ab-(G#-)B-F- and thats just the name of one chord so its something new to learn from. After got this piece down played best was able the holiday classic summertime which em6 and em7 and am6 and am7 are near about hardest in that by gershwin except the grouping of chords in bridge part outro part. Sounded alright though just on one instrument thats when you know its worth saving when one instrument can paly the basic sketch for a listener to hear and audiably get in their song index mentally. Sometimes use same chord directions to go through some passages sometimes they sound difficult in staying together as they are barely in key or on edge of that desired key one is playing with no music education but books nearly I think Im doing pretty well for myself on some of them. Would have been better to learn keys and scales and chords together for a stronger foundation but has made for a good hobby expensive at times but good. I finally labyrinth out of that music piece coming up with the last chord at Dflat minor so guess sounds like a closing chord for that one Louises delight. Earlier this year had one piece played which was along those same musical line and named it after old actress jean harlow called it platinum because liked her wit in her movies and life sometimes name music pieces simple stuff easy strums after what ever actress or etc is on mmy mind which keeps them distinct and unique when I go back through my archives of music if can call a few song pieces that. Like all kinds of music but somethings from the jazz age stand out the style of those have cool cab calloway, billie holiday, louis armstrong and these were the best in their field holiday with her horn style singing tequenique armstrong with his bubbly always happy personality mostly and cabs energy that danced note late gregory hines his dance style and personality cool as well. Just has a shine to it that cant be replicated.
