ts much easier to maintain a customer than it is to acquire a customer. Why is it that most of us are working as hard as we can at recruiting, when we really should be working on nurturing? One man once said it is harder to raise the dead, then it is to give birth, but that is the old ways of selling. Most people are skeptical of salespeople, simply because of the unethical salesperson working at manipulating people into buying something they dont need, or really dont want. When I was at Radioshack, one of the prime focuses was on education, not on sales. Youve got questions, weve got answers. Not, Ill answer your question so long as you buy my product. It was taking care of everyone, whether they be clients or just someone seeking an answer. In Network Marketing or even sales, our prime objective should be to educate rather than recruit. You might not be ready to join my business, so why am I working so hard at recruiting someone who is more than unlikely to have an interest, or even have the money to join my business. In his book Millionaire Mindset, Gerry Robert says that most people focus on the part of the population that is very unlikely to buy your product, its called the 80/20 rule. 20% of the population are waiting to approach you & buy, but yet we are so focused on recruiting the unlikely person rather than to nurture the client or customer, or even the past customer who already had an interest in your product or service. Its more work at recruiting someone than it is to nurture those already in your business!!!
