u15s Tungamah 24 defeated by Waaia 32 We could not be prouder of the 2014 Tungamah u15s. What an amazing achievement to make the Grand Final. Gracious in defeat - that is how I would describe our girls. We knew this was going to be a hard game and we were as prepared as we could be. All girls had trained hard and did everything that was asked of them through the week, and for that matter, throughout the year. We knew we had to mix up our style of play to combat Waaias speed and manner of play, and we did. For 3 quarters the game was evenly matched and hotly contested. We matched Waaia for speed and intensity. Passing, driving, defensive pressure, movement, shooting, team support - everyone was switched on. The last quarter was the decider, and Waaia proved too strong, gaining an early break, and building a quick lead. To our girls credit, they held their heads high and never gave up, working hard until the final whistle. The defining moment was how our team came together to support each other immediately after the game, and how they responded to their coachs words. That defines our year girls - teamwork. To all the umpires we have had this year - thankyou for your efforts. To all the parents who supported us by scoring, timekeeping and first aid, many thanks. To our wonderful club - we hope weve made you proud. Congratulations to the Seniors, 4ths, and B Grade. Commiserations to the 3rds. To Coach Sarah and Assistant Coach Nicola - thankyou for your wonderful coaching of this great group of young ladies. They have all learnt so much this year, and improved with each week. And to Ally, Alyssa, Amber, Amy G, Amy N, Emily, Hannah, Jayanna, Kait, Molly, Olivia & Sophie - well done on a super year of netball, and we hope you all return to play on as Bears in 2015. GO BEARS !!! .
