um okay today on facebook a bunch of posts about white people expressing rage or get over it about a white guy making satirical racial comments on a comedy show (which lets be honest, seems taken very out of context) i dont think i have to point out the irony in all of this, being as i am actually an asian person and there are all the other non-asians (or minorities for that matter) being offended for me. im not saying people dont have a right to their opinion, but im kind also over people being upset about racism who have never really had to deal with actual racism. have you been spat at? have you been turned away because of your race? have you had old ladies accuse you loudly at grocery stores that youre a jealous oriental ? have you grown up watching people tape their eyes or do black face or prance around in sombreros making fun of your culture? (YES ALL THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED TO ME, TO MY FRIENDS OF NON-WHITE BACKGROUNDS, TO MY FAMILY!) please...tell me again how you can relate to me and why you are so offended. /sarcasm dont cancel colbert. this is a stupid twitter campaign. but dont act like racist jokes arent a touchy subject for a lot of people either. tread carefully.
