#umbrellarevolution #hkspring #hongkong #URHK #UMHK int media starting to downgrade #HKs revolution to a movement evident by the new hashish UMHK, and it is not Occupy Central as the OC leaders called it off days ago, its now a pan HK occupy, it should be called #occupyhk. You may argue that they are only terms and what matter is the movement and the people, but we must not forget the power of words - it can control the way you think. If it was not the change of many peoples attitude (refuse to be hijacked and represented by the political figures, especially the three idiots from OC - this is a nickname for them used by many as theyve been doing all sorts of weird symbolic-only actions [like shaving their heads] and talked about a movement for 2 years without doing anything), the Umbrella Revolution would not have been spread so quickly and no one has responded to order to retreat given by the organisers, including the student federation. Now that people actioned out of their hearts, these three men came out to try take the credit and Occupy Central is a success! It is not! Occupy Hong Kong is gaining inches of progress because the police made a stupid mistake. Now its in stagnation. I was talking to a number of expats and exchange students who were all in awe of the peaceful protest of such scale. When they asked me what I think will happen, I admitted that although Im very proud of my fellow people, I am pessimistic. This Communist Party would never grant HK true democracy, such peaceful protest have won the hearts of many sympathetic eyes, but not China. Never will! The most important question remains: whats next? No politicians have the political wisdom to put forward a plan, and set a deadline for the government to response. Occupy for an unlimited period of time is impossible, by end of this week or early next week, I think, the revolution would end simply because people need to work. Sorry to be such a kill-joy, but I began to worry after the number of police in the protest areas dropped drastically yesterday - the government is trying to burn people out, they know Hongkongers too well, nothings more important than making money. I will be very sad to see this historical protest to end up being dissolved by the pseudo left-wingers. Admin M (Sorry for ranting...)
