update: around midnight last night, my dog Saki caught, killed and I think began eating, a skunk. I frantically posted on this page asking for help. and so many members came to my aid! Thank you all so much for the suggestions and the caring responses. I did try the peroxide/ dish detergent/ baking soda bath and it really helped a lot. Thank you Ann Beard-Simmons, Colleen Clark, Stephanie Dreiling and everyone who posted responses in the middle of the night (at least here where I am). It was very helpful and reassuring!
