update employment: CLINICAL AND DIRECT SERVICE POSITIONS DIVISION MANAGER, COMMUNITY SERVICES: This full time position will be responsible for: 1) oversight of the agency’s community support, housing/residential services, and supported employment programs; 2) assisting with design, implementation, and/or re-design of programming; 3) development/sign-off of clinical documentation for staff in various programs; 4) providing staff training on a regular basis; and 5) clinical supervision of staff. Master’s degree in human service field is required, with a minimum 5 years of experience in mental illness and/or substance abuse treatment and supervision. Licensure as an LCSW or LCPC in the state of Illinois, and the ability to function as an LPHA, is required. Candidates must have a strong outreach orientation and a desire to work with the persistently mentally ill and dually diagnosed populations. The successful candidate will also have previous clinical and supervisory experience and a strong desire to share knowledge and teach/coach/mentor other individuals. THERAPIST/CLINICAL SUPERVISOR: In addition to functioning as a full time therapist to all age groups, the successful candidate will serve as an LPHA for other agency staff. These responsibilities will include providing consultation and clinical supervision to other staff, as well as review and signature on clinical documentation. Master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the social service field, plus licensure as a LCSW or LCPC in the state of Illinois, are required. CRISIS CLINICIAN: Team member being recruited for a NEW team that will not only provide services in an office setting, but will spend extensive time in the community, in addition to follow-up services to the Crisis unit and after hours on-call. We are looking for individuals who are passionate to engage in crisis intervention services versus it just being “a job”, highly motivated self-starters, excellent decision making and problem solving skills, the ability to know their limits and when they need to seek guidance/supervision. Successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and diplomacy skills to work effectively with other social service professionals, law enforcement personnel, client’s family/friends/significant others, and internal staff. Bachelor’s degree in relevant social service field, plus 5 years of experience working with the mentally ill and/or substance abusing population required. Master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy, plus the ability to obtain licensure within 2 years, as well as education/experience to be able to function as a QMHP, preferred. OUTPATIENT THERAPISTS – CHILD/ADOLESCENT SPECIALTY: Full time positions available, working with children and adolescents who are experiencing a mental illness or substance abuse disorder. Responsibilities include: crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, treatment planning, case management, outpatient therapy, and client-centered consultation. Master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy, the ability to obtain certification or licensure within 2 years, as well as education/experience to be able to function as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional), are required. Licensure as an LPHA, and previous experience working with the target populations, are highly recommended. LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER COUNSELOR: This part-time position (evening and weekend hours) provides services on-site at the Macon County Law Enforcement Center. Specific duties include suicide risk assessment and intervention; mental health assessments and recommendations for treatment, and crisis counseling. Master’s degree in related human service field is required. REGISTERED NURSE- ACT TEAM: Heritage is actively recruiting for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our new Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The successful candidate will have documented experience working with both the substance abusing and chronically mentally ill populations. Responsibilities will include outreach in the community, providing medical services typical of a registered nurse in an outpatient setting, and serving as a QMHP in the organization. State of Illinois RN licensure (in good standing and without prior disciplinary action) is required. PROGRAM MANAGER, RESIDENTIAL NURSING: We are excited to announce the addition of a Registered Nurse to the residential nursing team. The successful candidate will have documented experience working with both the substance abusing and chronically mentally ill populations. Responsibilities will include oversight and supervision of licensed professional nurses (LPNs), providing medical services typical of a registered nurse in a residential setting, and serving as a QMHP in the organization. Prior supervisory experience and State of Illinois RN licensure (in good standing and without prior disciplinary action) are required. RESIDENTIAL SPECIALISTS: Full, part-time, and/or “as-needed” positions are typically available providing paraprofessional counseling and monitoring of individuals in our various residential programs. All facilities require regular weekend hours. High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 21 years of age, plus the flexibility to work with both mentally ill and substance abusing individuals, is required. ADMINISTRATIVE/CLERICAL POSITIONS CLINICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Position available on our team of dedicated support staff to work 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. (M-Th), 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Fri). The fast paced work environment requires flexibility and the ability to be proficient in duties at many different work locations.
