update: yesterday we saw the oncologist. it was somewhat uneventful. she told us that she went to a conference in the bay area and matts case came up because its so unique. seems were on the right course according to the multitude she has consulted with. i loved what we read in proverbs 15:22 today in the one year bible. so timely!! as it was previously said, (and she confirmed) matt will be watched closely with scans and scoping his nose/brain lining/optic wall. in fact theyll do it twice as often as the normal case and for years upon years because there are so many unknowns and because theres a high reoccurence rate with small cell cancer. when i think about that, the breathe literally gets sucked out of my lungs and my legs go weak. so no, im not going there. were not in denial, were just focusing on phil 4:8 and 2 cor 10:5. were laughing, living in today, trusting He doesnt always follow statistics or what they say. we know His ways are perfect and His will will be accomplished whether we have tomorrow or a 1000 tomorrows. john 11:4 says this, this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it. #cancerschmancer #Heisgood
