urrent Traveller updates Halewick Park Halewick Lane, Sompting Tuesday, 30th September 2014: Travellers remain on the land in breach of the Notice served on them yesterday, that required them to have vacated the land by 2pm today. The Council is taking legal proceedings in the Magistrates Court to obtain a Court Order authorising the Council to remove the travellers and their vehicles from the land. Monday, 29th September 2014 - PM: The Council has made a decision not to tolerate the trespass of land and has served a Notice on the travellers requiring them to leave by 2pm tomorrow. Should the travellers remain, the Council shall issue court proceedings immediately in order to secure the land.
