very sad and devastated....any advice would be greatly appreciated...i came home today and my dog had killed one of my lovebirds. she dragged him through his cage...i hand fed and raised these two lovebirds since they were 3 weeks old. today they were 7 yrs old they had been together since they were born...the other little peep ( i called them peeps cuz they looked exactly like peeps marshmellows).. .the lovebird that lived is so sad and keeps squeeking for her mate...not sure how to go about this. it just breaks my heart...i love my birds they are apart of my family .i feel so sad for my peep..should i get her another mate, how long do i wait..not sure what the process is...while i have ALOT of hatred right now for my dog it will pass. i know its the dogs nature and she doesnt understand...
