via Maestro Douglas DaSilva I believe the first composer to write fro My Dads Violin was Avrohom Leichtling. He presented a wonderful and challenging piece Meditation for solo violin, Opus 114. This piece was premiered by the amazing violinist Danie Mihai, in Romania; but it is yet to get its official performance on My Dads Violin! Hopefully, this will soon be rectified. Any violinists out there who want to be the one? Years ago, I collected video with an old cell-phone of lights in NYC. I saved them in a file called City Lights. The poor quality of the cell phone video of the time makes the videos seem impressionistic...something that I really like about them.
