via Navajo Voters Rights Coalition We will be rolling out a new Chapter House Resolution in support of Judicial Reform. Right now, Justices are appointed by the President and they retain their position for life. We simply cannot have that, especially if they are going to remove our elected officials without our say and without letting affected parties have due process. The power of people to govern themselves is ABSOLUTE. Now, the Second Amendment of America shows that in a Democratic Society we should have mistrust of the centralization of power. US Constitution, which we look to has strong standards and rights that we in the Navajo Nation are letting go of. We have a right to protect ourselves from an entity that has become too strong. We need to change Title 11 of the Navajo Nation so that we can maintain a fair and balanced three-tier system. We need to fight this tooth and nail. The Supreme Court has overstepped its authority.
