via RPD: Door-to Door Cookie Sales Scam: The Richfield Middle School has received several complaints over the last month about a student selling cookies for a fund raiser. Money was collected; however, no product was ever delivered. The “cookie sale” is not school sponsored. The suspect is a light skinned black male (possibly bi-racial) that looked to be in about 7-8th grade. He was average to small height and weight with no distinguishing characteristics. He gave a false name of Isaiah Stone or Stones. Please be cautious of anyone selling items door to door. Typically, a Transient Merchant License is required to sell merchandise door-to-door in Richfield. However, Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts and Richfield School fundraisers are exempt for these licenses. Should you encounter suspicious individuals soliciting in your neighborhood, please call 911.
