N: I’ll sit beside you (smiles) StarM: Please start with introducing yourselves with individuality. Leo: I’m Main Vocal Leo. HongBin: I’m the group’s “painting" Hong Bin. Ken: I’m the versatile Main Vocal Ken. Hyuk: I’m the maknae Hyuk who is not like the maknae. ... Ravi: I’m the greedy one in VIXX Ravi. StarM: Is HongBin “painting" because he’s the group’s visual? HongBin: Yes (smiles) StarM: Someone please do a self-introduction for N who currently isn’t around. (smiles) Ravi: Erm, VIXX’s mother, ah.. ahjumma, arm let’s just be mother, I’m N. N(behind the curtain of changing room): HAhaha. StarM: How’s the condition of the 6 of you today? Ravi: The 6 of our ‘relaxation’(?) are the same. Because we came here right after filming a music show at the swimming pool today, all of us are in the mood of being excited that we can fly. HongBin: Yep, but in order to get into the mood of photoshooting(?), we have calmed down. Hyuk: Just like water in a well, we need people to scoop us up. (smiles) StarM: “VIXX" means “Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis", how did you express “Voice, Visual, Value" in your new album? Ravi: From the start when the topic “Jekyll & Hyde" came out, everything that has to do with the album seems to welcome this topic, we also remained committed to our believes as we pursue the “Voice, Visual, Value" in this topic. StarM: Not sure if its because of this unique topic, the new song “hyde" is has high attentions of fans, what did you all want to show to everyone using a keyword from “Jekyll & Hyde"? Ravi: If only we could show everyone our ‘two-sided features’ using “Jekyll & Hyde". A man with ‘two-sided features’. Have you seen man’s love nonsense? We added VIXX’s tint into it. If everyone could notice ‘somehow different’ and ‘it’s interesting’, it’d be best if we could bring excitement to everyone. StarM: It seems infinite if you want to really understand the keyword “Jekyll & Hyde", have you studied about it? HongBin: Yes, we did find books to read, and also we watched the musical “Jekyll & Hyde", it really need some knowledge in order to perform it on stage. StarM: The lyrics “There is a different person that’s not me inside of me" is very pleasant-sounding, when is the moment when everyone felt ‘the kind and beast in me’? N: Erm, for me there’s only kind? Hahaha, Ravi treats girls kindly, but to guys he’s very beastly, please write it like this. (smiles) Ravi: Recently we’re in a ‘being in team’ management, currently managing our diet and our thirst for freedom etc.. By following the [rules], it seems to be on the Kind condition. Of course in our heart we’ll want to break through the Kind part, but not sure if this is considered Beast. Being in Diet management yet we want to eat everything. We have to practice when we’re getting ready for events or during events, we become lazy and not have the feel to move because of tireless, this seems to be Beast. Hyuk: Although I’m still currently a student, there is time during exam period, the next day is exam but I did not feel like studying. When my heart have the desire of the thought of games that I have not played, the shows I have not watched, at this time if I bear everything and head to study, that’s Kind. Of course there are times when Kind will lose. Ken: I seems to be able to sense Kind and Beast when I’m singing. During ‘hyde’ I have a part where I have a very high ‘gaze’. When you want to sing and feels that this pitch isn’t safe…, feeling that ‘afraid to sing out the pitch’ is Beast. If you sang it well and gives yourself a praise, that’s a Kind. HongBin: I think that if you look forward to future’s plans thinking ‘practice is like this’, that’s Kind, if the future plan isn’t fulfilled and you blame yourself, that’s Beast. P/S: There might be some mistakes in translation, please do not think that it is 100% accurate ^^ Tbh when I was reading the last paragraph in chinese it wasn’t making much sense, I headed over to read the korean version one and it didn’t make much sense too so of course in english it doesn’t too hahaha. ~*starlight*
