wanna hear something compelling...itll take 4:47 seconds.... I just had the most enjoyable conversation with a black man who walked by and asked if i had any money for him to get a bite to eat... It seemed to be a typical situation. He looked ragged, tired, and dirty but i gave him a chance... I offered for him sit. He transparently told me his story, which was not flattering, but he opened up and we actually had a friendly convo. While cops drove by intentionally passing our patio several times, might i add. He touched on religion so i asked him what his favorite verse was and he replied John 14. Without missing a letter, he recited it to me, verses 1-14. (lesson on trusting in God) During his explanation of what it meant to him, he quoted a phrase that i posted on FB earlier today... First step to solving any problem is recognizing there is one. verbatim! SO... The way I interpret that to be God working in my life is, it was a sign, that if we want to have a unified brother and sisterhood of humans, you absolutely must give love, caring, and understanding a chance. I will say, it is a flawed plan, you can punch holes in the theory everyday, but if youll give it a chance it has the power to change the world. btw i gave him enough money to make it through the night until he could catch his bus.
