wanted to share email received yesterday from kris keller, cac commissioner from district 8. note meeting scheduled for tuesday, september 23 re: proposed olympic development. btw i have since invited kris to join this group so he has the benefit of our thoughts in addition to those expressed on the clintonville discussion forum. As you probably know by now the vote on the Olympic was tabled until October. A public meeting is scheduled for September 23rd at 7:00 at the Beechwold Christian Church 280 Morse Road. I will probably be mediating the meeting and I have training in mediation although I am not sure that you consider me neutral since I am on the commission but at this meeting I will also be representing Positively Clintonville and hope to have other representatives of that group plus some folks from the Center For Compassionate Communication at the meeting for support. I am also leading an online discussion and fact finding process through the Clintonville Discussion page on Facebook. I am compiling all of the questions and concerns expressed in several hundred emails and Facebook posts so that they can be distilled into a workable document to send to the developers for response before the meeting and in hopes of getting a running start on consensus so that what could be a 6 hour meeting might be accomplished in one or two. Thanks for your interest and your recognition that more work needed to be done before a vote.
