was at a conference today about health and social care. the stats do not add up that we should be having austerity measures. indeed we are actually wealthy enough not to! so is the UK wealthy enough not to. i was shocked by the figures and also shocked at the stats on cut backs, we are doing something very strange here and i am wondering what the hell its all about? how it came to this and why the people who are suffering ARE! Raising tax by some percentage points would eradicate the debt, but no, instead they chose to cut, cut and do more cutting. another staggering idea being, we as a country are in political terms, right of centre. this is scary. very. i hope soon a grouping of newbies sees the sense as explained to me today at this conference.
