Spoke to a “man” who said oppression is justified so long as there is benefit in it for the economy’s growth. He also said that each person, including his mother, has a price for which they are worth. God protect us if positions of authority are ever given to people with such dangerous perspectives. May He enlighten the ones who live in the darkness of ignorance. “…whoever kills a soul… it is as if he had killed mankind entirely. And whoever saves a soul- it is as if he had saved mankind entirely...” (Qur’an, 5:32)
