Although there is as yet no official word, sources close to the little-known psychologist state that he was passed over for the lead role in Iron Man IV (or is it V, who remembers?) Rumours around Hollywood indicate that Robert Downey Jr got the part again. “It’s tiresome and unfair,” Jason Frowley’s next-door neighbour should have commented. “Robert Downey Jr has already been Iron Man three times – or is it four? More if you count the Avengers movie. The whole thing smacks of prejudice.” This outburst gave more fuel to critics of the Hollywood system, who have claimed for years that ordinary psychologists don’t land a fair proportion of parts in superhero films. “Look, there’s only one kind of person we’re going to cast as Iron Man, and that’s an established star with a proven track record of pleasing the public,” said a Hollywood producer, off the record. “Jason Whatisname isnt it. Your average Joe has never heard of him. And from what I hear, neither has his own cat. Oncethis guy gets famous, then we’ll talk.” None of this was likely to cheer Jason Frowley up. The cast for the new Thor movie (to be called Thor III, or is it IV?) will be announced soon. There is already speculation that Chris Hemsworth may land the lead yet again.
