we are not living in safety. we are living under siege. we would feel better if we were dead. i wish i was dead and did not have to witness this life that is happening to us well little champ, i wish i was dead too. it destroys me that i am in a position of shameful privilege where i can watch this video and feel sorry for you, yet i can turn the news off and return to my normal life at any point, when that is not an option for you. it kills me that i am a member of this human race where things like this are happening to you and your family - and millions of others everyday - yet the rest of us can sit idly by and get on with our lives once the sympathy that only serves to validate our privilege wears off. we all sit here and feel sorry for you when it is you who should feel sorry for us, for even though you might die tomorrow, you would at least die with your dignity intact, something the rest of us are severely lacking. you, little boy, teach the rest of the world life. you teach the rest of the world humanity. you teach us what its like to face oppression with integrity, to face injustice with humility. in a time where we have all turned into lifeless zombies. nothing more than pathetic wastes of matter, time and space.
