we arrived in Guantanamo Bay safely! The most interesting fun fact to report: There are these rodents called Hititas (I think) or more commonly known as banana rats here and they can basically over run this place, along with the iguanas. Most people see banana rats at night and or dead on the side of the road. We found 11 of them having a loud feast in our tree right next to our house last night. Gross enough. But then we got up this morning and they were ALL still there with two dead in my yard! That with the turkey vultures picking at them was quite the education for my kids. :) They look like HUGE rats with long claws. Not the welcome party I was expecting! It has been the talk of all the environmental people here though. AHHH welcome to Gitmo!
