Increasing milk farm gate price by 5kshs @ litre will be motivation enough for increased supply. Our milk processors dont have enough capacity to wield the volumnous milk ( as evident by the frequent milk glut in the country). as a result dairy farmers become stranded with milk and they resort to black market which is infested by unscrupulous middlemen who suck up farmers sweat and make us consume untested milk probably contaminated with afflatoxin inturn we spend much money on medicine smh. Let me not overload your brain with my school of thought. My bottom line is drawn from the sentiments from Agwambo tinga wuo Nyalego and i quote" there are more painless avenues through which goverment can increase revenue and not on basic agricultural product.” # vicious cycle of poverty.
