we live on a campus where dating and relationships can be a significant part of our lives, partly because many of us believe prior to attending campus that were going to find a good person, and while it can happen, it can also be the exception rather than the norm in such a sinful and fallen world. With that being said, I have come to the conclusion that people should never date if they are simply looking for a good time or trying to figure out the kind of person they want to committ too. Dating should only be reserved for someone they feel they could spend the rest of their future with. its that special and that kind of a commitment. Thats why the value of just being someones friend is so taken for granted here, because in getting to know someone you find out if they truly have what it takes to be with you. and any dating relationship that doesnt turn into something long term will inevitably turn into a break up. So dont play around looking for fun, be intentional, and be the kind of person that is worth being with.
