In case you haven’t already heard, Danilo and I began a new video project 3 months ago we are producing a series of interviews of people in the arts here in Miami. Miami is bursting open creatively, and it’s increasingly reflecting Miami’s unique and energetic: Anglo / Hispano / Afro-carribean, Southern, Northern and even European matrix. We’ve begun a series of interview programs, each devoted to a specific artistic area, generally including 3 people working in the area being looked at, and each taking place in a different arts-related locale. We want to cover people who aren’t necessarily mainstream yet, as well as people who have been around and established a reputation. So far we’ve taped 3 shows: one on fashion, one on vocalists, and one on poets. We intend to do visual artists, artist-run spaces, Chefs, puppeteers, composers, , as well as people who have created cultural spaces like alternative cinemas, performance spaces, and, of course many many more. We signed up for crowd-funding with Hatch fund and our campaign ends on January 6. We still need $2500. in order to access the funds we’ve already been promised .
