...we review successful resistances of the past...and the necessary fact that though 90% of successful resistance activism is non-violent direct action and civil disobedience, a very important 10% of the resistance is comprised of underground, militant, action. This applies not only to the American civil rights movement, but also to womens suffrage, the Irish Resistance, and Indian Independence. We educate on the fact that for the safety of all there must be a firewall between aboveground and underground resistances, a distinct & clear boundary that can never be crossed, as mixing up the two has resulted in grave errors and losses in past resistances, which we seek to avoid. We also seek to learn as much as we can about what worked best, what failed, and how to proceed in defending the living earth from ecocide.
