website at the bottom. I got the following response to the message I sent out on the discount cards for prescription medicines. I had a question or two about what my friend said, so had him answer a couple of questions I thought others might ask. They follow his main message. NobbyKnee wrote: I have been getting mine at CVS for many years with a co-pay on all of them. Some pills I had to pay only $3.00 a refill, others $8.00 and one $12.00. My co-pay company sent me a letter asking me to start using the Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy. This is by US Mail last fall.. My doctor said that this would also be cheaper. As of the 1st of January I switched from CVS to Cigna and most of my pills are free now. I do have a couple that I have to pay a small amount but it is less that what I was paying at CVS. Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy 206 Welsh Rd, Horsham, Pa 19044 1-800-835-3784 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I wrote, asking if he has Medicare Part D. Nobby wrote: I only have Part A & B. I have medicare and my insurance is with a company called Healthspring. The company might be owned by Cigna now. Cigna is the medication branch of the company. So far I have never paid a premium nor my personal doctor a dime. Now if my doctor send me to a specialist I have to pay $40.00 for a visit. Most of my pills when buying local were $3.00 a month, but now thru using their home delivery pharmacy I have to pay nothing but only on 3 and those are $15.00 for 3 months supply on each of those 3. Now I am a diabetic and have to take shots. Locally those shots are $500.00 month, but thru Cigna they are $95.00 for a 3 months supply of them. I bet all of this is as clear as a mud puddle on a very rainy day. ha ha ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If one has this insurance company and is on medicare I think they would be very happy with it. So far I have had no problems. Would this apply to anyone who has an insurance plan that covers part of the cost of the medicines? A person would have to have insurance with Healthspring to use this medication plan with Cigna. The co-pay was the $3.00 or whatever I was paying for the refills on my prescriptions. My co-pay is now only on 3 refills of $15.00 per each of the 3. or that would come to $45.00 for 3 months of pills. All my other 6 prescriptions are free. So now my medications are costing me $180.00 a year. That doesnt include my shots I have to take. Those are $380.00 total for a year. So the total cost to me at present is $560.00 a year. I think I can handle all of that ha ha ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope you find this helpful. I really appreciate NobbyKnee sharing this with us. He lives in Texas, and I kind of think the CVS stores might be mainly in the South. If we have them in this area I have not seen any but daughter Jorja is familiar with them where she lives, in Florida. However, I went to their website and found the Cigna Home Delivery serves two groups: those who have insurance with Healthcare and those who dont. Those who do, like Nobby, pay the co-pay part of their prescription costs and those who do not, get a discounted rate on their prescriptions. There is a link for them where you can click on the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and that may answer anything you are wondering about. https://teldrug.healthcare.cigna/healthcare/teldrug/app/public/faq.do
