wee poetry gig tonight at Tenred . looking forward to saying someshit and glad that i dont have to maintain volume and follow the speed of a beat so i can work around my shitty voice. first gig (bar an abortive attempt to slam in spring) since november. not much new material cos of the novoice thing. cant think what shit to say cos i cant shout any more and it turns out all my lyrics are angry political rants. at the moment im thinking to tell folk about how my mum is a pirate and let them know that im not rapping any more. i might see if i can tell them about palestine without shouting (or crying). that still leaves me with two or three minutes to say some shit ive said a whole bunch of times already. any suggestions?
