welcome to Leeds a city where the city fathers seem to have forgoten that there are people of a lesser income living in their midst. The same people who turned a blind eye to the transgessions of mr saville in the pursuit of public acclamation, the same people who have allowed the city centre to be decimated. Who wants to park in Leeds on a night or on a Sunday and get charged a fee, if you dont pay for parking, no parking, then on top of the three shooping centres we have decide to build another. No provisions for individual traders, just big businesses. They have ruined an institution which which drew loads of tourists to Leeds, the market, they instituted a manager who was on the controlling groups steering commitee then procceed to keep rents high and do nothing proactive in increasing business,spending no money on its up keep, treating it as a cash cow and not realising there was real people living real lives in there. The they decide to close one of the markets life bloods its car park, really constructive help that guys, so we know you want to sell the market but not everyone has a cushy job witha salary and pension....its just another case of people in power looking after themselves and not giving a monkeys about ordinary people
