well good news has to come to everyone every once in a while. Patience, prayers and purgery are the 3 ps that got me to my good news today!! Met with my hip surgeon today and after my stellar performance and wit and charm, he said that I definitely need a new hip asap and he said he wasnt sure if he could get me in before Christmas and if not it would definitely be the first of the year. I had to confirm he was talking 2015. Over the moon is putting mildly how I feel right now. I had waited 2 years to meet with the first surgeon, he gave me an operating date of Sept. 23/14 and literally in the next breath told me that he cant do the operation because he is going to retire in December of this year and doesnt want to do my hip because he wouldnt be here to follow up my post op for the required 6mos- 1year. That put me out in the netherworld to apply to another surgeon and I waited and waited all over again and finally got this appointment today and by rights should have been told that it would be at least another 1 1/2 -2 years before the surgery but by my having already waited and been cheated out of my original position, Dr. Dunbar took pity on me and I am top dog. What a tremendous blessing it will be to finally be pain free and mobile and to be able to get control of my life once again. I will only warn the world this one time, that I will be something to be reckoned with when I get this other hip, hopping!!!
