well just got a Raspberry Pi excited im going to use it to turn on and off lights control water supply scene soil dryness take time lapse photos and control the fans while running on a web server so all the data can be viewed online now maybe i should add a ph meter lol i was thinking about a ultrasonic sensor with a servo to control how low the light is from the pepper so its always at the right height plant grows a inch light raises a inch and a alarm were if the plant reaches the light it sends a text message so i can prevent burning haha maybe i can use the ultrasonic sensor to log growth height and have a line graph show the difference in cm each day while logging the temp and humidity so much idea and the processing to do them all now i need a to make a bypass to run the usb stuff i have a 5v regulator and some capacitors if im right you can remove the 5v + from the usb cord and use a external 5v+ line and bridge the ground to use external voltage instead of internal voltage i will probably do that to a usb hub i have give your ideas and critiques correct me if im wrong
