well today was a good day! in our first test (the team test) mo decided that seeing herself in the mirrors was really scary even though she has been in that arena loads of times! she was then tense throughout the rest of the test which didnt help when I was asking for shoulder in but there were also a few rider errors so a tense horse + rider errors = an average test! we also had quite a harsh marking judge because everyones scores were in the 60%s and anyway we came 2nd with 62.105% which considering it was just an average test was quite a good score! :D anyway we forgot about that test and went on to do our second test the individual championship, that went absolutely amazing but again we had a harsh scoring judge and everybody was in the 60%s again apart from the people who have been doing it for ages and ages! there were 9 people in the class and we came 4th with 64.268% which I think was an unfair score because the test felt amazing but like I said everyone was in the 60%s region again, just harsh marking judges I get because they were like it with almost everyone who was there. even still im very very please with my gorgeous girl because if we all rewind back to this time last year, mo couldnt even do a working canter without acting like a racehorse and now shes doing working canter-medium canter-collected canter - Id say thats pretty inpressive to be honest! so regardless of today I am so impressed with my girl, I couldnt ask for a more hard working horse who tries her best at anything you give her and she will always rise to the challenge! at first it took me a while to get used to her sharpness and quirkiness but at the end of the day.. all the best horses have their quirks, I wouldnt want to end the year any other way than to say I have had the most amazing year on Pro-Mo and she has tried her best at everything she has done even when she didnt quite understand the movements! how crazy is this, Mo isnt even a Para horse and look what shes achieved?!?! fabulous horse, I hope next year is as amazing as this year because its been the best! I know Im blabbering on but I just want everyone to know how amazing this horse is and how much shes improved in the last 12 months! a huge thank you to Jess Parr and Robyn Wheatherall who have helped to improve mo from a racehorse canter/gallop to the horse she is today! a huge thank you to the BEF Excel Talent Squad for helping me mould Mo into the horse she is today and a massive thank you to my wonderful sponsor Blaze Clothing for supporting me throughout this year! thank you to my parents for being my bank to get me and mo to where we are today, thank you to ben and beth for being my grooms (you do an amazing job) thank you to Jo for loaning Mo Mo to me and just thank you to everyone who has contributed in helping me and mo make this journey!!! #THANKYOU #bestteam
