went to PA today ..adventurous trip .. for some gas & grub ... we had to go through the backroad cause we heard Sarita was washed out in three places ,with a big hole in the road.. went down around Frederickson Lake..down towards Flora onto Central came out on the other side of Sarita Lake..went over a couple small washouts & drove thru a flooded area ,which had gone down on our way home ,mustve been near Rousso Lake.. seen three Hydro crews working in different areas ,wires hanging low by the trailhead (1st crew) and on this side of Franklin ,trees down (2nd crew) ,& on the other side of Franklin more trees (3rd crew) .. rivers are swollen ,creeks are raging .. made it to PA ,.. River Rd had yards full of water .. just past the Orange Bridge they had a detour .. had to go down McKoy Lake rd down around Sproat Lake ,out by the rd to Ukee on the other side of the Tseshaht Market ,only to find that side was closed too & they closed the store at 3 due to the flooding I;m sure ..I really hope the people along the Somass River are alright Sarah Ann Johnson ,hope your Dad & other family members are alright .. I never ever seen the Somass River so high .. headed home .checked out the rd by the Sarita Lake ,lots of debris, big logs ,wash outs ,floods ,its crazy... & still no power ,we passed about 4 Hydro trucks & 8 cherry Pickers ... sounds like the power may be back on around 2pm tomorrow ... lets hope .. hugs to you all stay safe .. stay warm ..
