what does it take to make it as an artist?.. is it not the unbreakable belief in yourself even when others fail to see it?.. is it not the absolute braveness of always putting your work out their to be judged by others?.. is it not the undenaiable work ethic of just keeping on creating day after day even when those works dont sell?.. isnt it the ability to not only be your own publisist.. marketing guru..accounts specialist..dare I say it..debt collector? isnt it ignoring those frustrations..striving for a better piece of work from yourself.. trusting that the buyers will come..denying feelings of not being good enough or savy enough or hardworking enough... wish i could give you the answers because that would mean i know them myself.. instead.. i just keep kissing the canvas with brushes..smudging the paper with worn out fingers and guiding pens and pencils and knives in the hope.. no the faith.. that i am finding my way..
