what happened to Malaysian Flight 370? I have no clue. The following is just a subject of what if, and if anybody has any light on this mystery, let us know. A guess- there are two countries, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, that were in the general path of the hypothetical northern route. [from Wikipedia] In Kyrgzstan, at the end of the Soviet period there were about 50 airports and airstrips in Kyrgyzstan, many of them built primarily to serve military purposes in this border region so close to China. Only a few of them remain in service today..... Other facilities built during the Soviet era are either closed down, used only occasionally or restricted to military use (e.g., Kant Air Base near Bishkek, which is used by the Russian Air Force). Anyone of the out-of-date large airstrips, now not being used, could have been a destination of flight 370, and then, after landing, the plane hid in a large unused hanger. Since terrorists like to do large events, the plane in the future could be used as a explosive laden craft to inflict a major hit for their choice target. Or even a legit. government could use the plane for such purposes. If this were the case, the passengers hopefully are alive. Hopefully, Their lives would be respected, as hostages, and one day be freed. Planes just dont disappear. But maybe they do. pic is mountains of Tajikistan
