what if our problem with illegal immigration ... was not the people coming here for the opportunity to work and eat .... but our hard heartedness toward them? our taking advantage of them? our foolish policies that dont make the way for them to work here legally and receive rights and benefits that all workers here should receive? what if we helped share our resources with our neighbor nation - Mexico in such a way that they could prosper there too? .......... yea i dont know all the facts by any means ....... and i know that this is controversial ........ and i dont know all the answers by any means ....... and it is more than frustrating in a lot of ways ......... but God says that we should be kind and extend justice to strangers and aliens not insist on our rights! what if we are completely displeasing God in the way we treat the least of these .... as we certainly have in the past - native americans, asians, & all immigrants from poverty backgrounds?! what if instead of condoning negative rheteric we sought to bless and help them with charity ...... what if we said to the people from Mexico that have labored for decades doing back breaking work in the agricultural fields that provide our food .... what if we said, Thank you!!! and made sure they had access to good sanitation, clean water, shelter from the heat, etc. just throwing this out there for our consideration! maybe we should examine our attitudes on some of these issues in light of Gods Word not our cultures accepted rheteric .... just wondering!
