what is happenning to my state imo state owelle under your eye na wa ooo On the 6th of December 2011 , N100M was made through Zenith Bank IMSG Drop Down account number 1012822640 domiciled at Zenith bank Assumpta Avenue Owerri to jros international ltd on 9th of February 2012, N200,000,000 was paid to Jpros through Diamond Bank, Imo state Government Federal Allocation Account number 0022369111 domiciled at Diamond BANK WAAST Avenue Ikenegbu On the same 9th of February 2012 N1.15B was paid to same Jpros from Diamond Bank IMSG Federal Allocation Account Number 0022369111 Making it a total of N1.45B received by Jpros from Imo state Government from December 2011 to February 2012. The total contract sum which obviously was crazily inflated was N1.15B, Jpros received a complete payment of N1.15B and an over payment of N300M since February 2012 when nothing visible was done on sight. Macdonald Akano being the second largest shareholder of Jpros is a signatory to Diamond Bank Account of Jpros where these payments were made. He sure has a case to answer. Is it possible for these huge sums of money to leave Imo state treasury without the approval of Oga at the top? Your guess is as good as mine. Bear in mind that they have taken another N100,000,000 from the state treasury to finish the road in the name of direct labour. Making it a total of about N1.55B . The last valuation Ministry of works did on that road before the current work put the quantum of work done at the cost of N195,000,000 , the state Government recently (last month)injected another N100,000,000 as funds to be used to complete the road through direct labour. My question is if N295M was enough to finish the road why did the state Government pay Akano and his Jros N1.45b for the said Road. Is this not day light robbery? Is it not interesting that instead of applauding EFCC for arresting Akano and even helping EFCC investigate him, the state government is fighting for him? Is it not funny that the same State Government took Akano’s company Jpros to court alleging that the collected money from the state government under false pretence? Obtaining money under false pretence means 419. Yet Akano is still SA project monitoring, yet the state government is crying foul over his arrest. Biko nu, who is fooling who.
